The Diploma of Civil Draftsman program trains students in the principles and techniques of drafting and design in civil engineering. The curriculum focuses on creating accurate and detailed drawings for construction projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings. Students learn to use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit, developing skills in technical drawing, 3D modeling, and project documentation.
Through practical exercises and projects, students gain experience in collaborating with engineers and architects to produce drawings that meet regulatory standards and design specifications. The program aims to equip graduates with the skills necessary to support civil engineering projects effectively.
Equip students with the ability to create precise technical drawings and plans.
Provide foundational knowledge of civil engineering concepts and practices.
Foster skills in using drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Instill the importance of accuracy and precision in drafting work.
Develop effective communication abilities for collaborating with engineers and architects.
Teach students how to prepare comprehensive project documentation and reports.
Creates detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects.
Produces visual representations of engineering designs and concepts.
Works on Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects to manage digital representations of structures.
Supports engineers and architects in the design process through drafting and documentation.
Assists in gathering data and preparing plans based on survey results.
