At the Indian School of Technology and Management (ISTM), we strive to provide a transparent and student-friendly refund policy for our courses and programs. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested, eligibility criteria, and the process for requesting a refund.
- General Conditions for Refunds:
Refunds are only applicable for specific circumstances and are processed in accordance with the terms outlined in this policy. By enrolling in any course or program offered by ISTM, you agree to these refund terms. - Eligibility for Refund:
Refunds may be considered under the following conditions:
- Withdrawal Before Course Commencement:
If a student withdraws from a program before the official commencement date of the course, a refund of the tuition fees paid (excluding registration or administrative fees) may be issued. However, the specific percentage of the refund will be subject to the time of withdrawal as outlined below. - Withdrawal After Course Commencement:
Once a course has started, refunds will only be granted in exceptional circumstances such as serious illness, unforeseen personal emergencies, or other valid reasons deemed appropriate by the institution. Requests for refunds after the course start date will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. - Non-Refundable Fees:
Registration, admission, and other administrative fees (if any) are non-refundable under any circumstances. - Denial of Admission:
If a student is denied admission to a course or program due to ineligibility or other reasons, a full refund of the tuition fees paid will be processed. However, the non-refundable registration fee will be retained by ISTM.
- Withdrawal Before Course Commencement:
- Refund Request Process:
To initiate a refund request, the student must:
- Submit a written request via email or through an official form provided by ISTM.
- Provide the necessary documentation, if applicable (e.g., medical certificates for illness or other relevant documents).
- The request should include the student's name, enrollment details, and the reason for requesting the refund.
Once the request is received, ISTM will review and evaluate it based on the terms of this policy. The student will be notified of the outcome and the refund amount (if applicable) within 7-14 Business Days.
- Timeframes for Refunds:
The amount of the refund is based on the timing of the withdrawal as follows:
- 100% Refund (Excluding Non-Refundable Fees):
If the withdrawal request is submitted more than [insert number, e.g., 15-30 days] prior to the course start date. - 50% Refund (Excluding Non-Refundable Fees):
If the withdrawal request is submitted within [insert number, e.g., 15-30 days] prior to the course start date. - No Refund:
No refunds will be granted if the withdrawal request is submitted after the course has commenced, except in exceptional cases as described above.
- 100% Refund (Excluding Non-Refundable Fees):
- Method of Refund:
Refunds will be processed through the original method of payment (e.g., bank transfer, credit card, etc.) within 7-14 Business Days after approval. Students will be notified once the refund has been processed. - Exceptional Circumstances:
In rare and exceptional cases, such as course cancellation by ISTM or significant changes to the course schedule or content that materially affect the student’s ability to complete the program, a full or partial refund may be granted, at the discretion of ISTM, even after the course has commenced. - No Refund for Dismissal:
No refunds will be issued if a student is dismissed from a course or program due to violations of ISTM’s policies, including academic misconduct, behavioral issues, or failure to meet academic performance standards. - Refund for Online Programs:
For students enrolled in online or distance-learning programs, refunds will follow the same criteria outlined above. However, no refunds will be issued if a student fails to access the online course or complete the required modules after the course commencement date, unless exceptional circumstances apply. - Contact Information:
